#AmtrakLIVE: The Recap
The group of tech innovators, entrepreneurs and thought-leaders documented the journey using the hashtag #AmtrakLIVE on Twitter and Instagram.
During the 33-hour trip they managed to share everything from the gorgeous scenery of the Southwest and pictures of the wonderful Amtrak employees to envy-inducing snaps of the renowned steak dinner and adorable baby Miles, who was the youngest member aboard the #AmtrakLIVE train.
Stops along the way consisted of memorable moments like an impromptu yoga session in Tuscon, Ariz., and purchasing famous $2 burritos in El Paso, Texas.
For most participants, the trip was their first long-distance train ride. “In the observation car, you just feel like you arefloating,” Rachel Hofstetter, author of Cooking Up a Business, said during a video interview. Victoria White, director of new media for USO, had a similar sentiment: “I don’t know if the views are inspiring or distracting. They are so beautiful.”
It was truly an inspiring experience and based on all the positive feedback, we hope to up the ante in 2015! Who wants to come with us?
