#AmtrakLIVE has officially kicked off onboard the Texas Eagle on the way from Los Angeles to Austin. We started our adventure  yesterday in Los Angeles Union Station where Kevin Winston, CEO of Digital LA, led the charge for an impromptu group selfie to rival Ellen’s now-famous Oscar selfie.

Even better: You can now follow all of the fun, festivities and photos by using the hashtag #AmtrakLIVE.

We’re taking a two-day journey from Los Angeles all the way to Austin, Texas, on a special train that includes an exclusive Observation Car and Sleeper Car accommodations. On the far end will be one of the country’s biggest events for people in music, film and technology, with speakers like Chelsea Clinton and Mike Meyers presenting.

During our #AmtrakLIVE journey, we’re joined by some pretty cool people. Folks from About.comGE, USO and Thrillist are tweeting, blogging and experiencing the trip of a lifetime on our Texas Eagle train to Austin.

“AmtrakLIVE will have amazing scenery, engaging collaboration and the opportunity to explore and be inspired – it’s all part of the Amtrak long-distance experience,” says Amtrak Director of Social Media Julia Quinn. “Amtrak provides customers a one-of-a-kind experience, making train travel the perfect choice for like-minded communities to explore the country together. AmtrakLIVE is all about creativity.”
