Known to many as the most haunted city in America, New Orleans makes no missteps on Halloween. Haunted houses like the New Orleans’ Nightmare and scary good music line up for the annual Voodoo Music Festival are just a couple of main attractions in NOLA this year. Fancy a more traditional Halloween? Throw on a costume, head to Bourbon Street and get ready for a spooky good time.

New York City

Hop on a train, get off at New York Penn Station then head straight to the Village for the 45th Annual Village Halloween Parade. Costumes are a pre-req for this NYC staple or as their site calls it “the nation’s most wildly creative public participatory event in the greatest city in the world!” Be prepared for the crowds, but more importantly, the spontaneous flash mobs of the Thriller reenactments.

Our next Halloween destination takes us all the way west, specifically to West Hollywood for the West Hollywood Halloween Carnival.
