PRAIRIE VIEW, TX – FEBRUARY 26: Members of the Prairie View Trail Ride Association take part in their annual trail ride from Hempstead to Houston on Sunday, February, 26, 2017. Started in 1957, the PVTR is the oldest African American cowboy trail ride in Texas. Participants travel by horse and wagon over the course of a week with their families and friends, camping and roasting hogs along the way. The trail ride ends with the PVTR members joining the Houston Rodeo Parade in celebration of the annual Houston Rodeo.
