Cleveland Rocks, and Here’s Why

Cleveland

King James is taking his talents back to Cleveland and we think you should make a visit too.  A comfy ride on our  Capitol Limited or Lake Shore Limited can easily take you to the birth place of Halle Berry, but to make sure you don’t miss out on all things Cleveland, we made this list just for you.

1. Team Cleveland
Three professional sport teams – Cavs, Browns and Indians and even though they haven’t been hugely successful as of late, the die-hard fan base for each team make the games worthwhile. Trust us, Team Cleveland is on the upswing (i.e. I’m coming home). If you’re a sports fan, you’ll want to experience the heart these fans have for their teams and their city.

2. A Christmas Story Museum
Holy red ryder and leg lamps, there’s A Christmas Story Museum and it’s in Cleveland. If this ‘80s cult classic is a favorite of yours then booking your train ticket is must. There is no danger of shooting your eye out, but you’re guaranteed to have a good laugh.

3. Playhouse Square
Located downtown  in the Cleveland Theater District the Playhouse Square is celebrated as the second largest theater complex in the U.S.  A little place called Lincoln Center is chilling at the #1 spot. With nine theaters and a diverse playbill, Amtrak riders with an affinity for drama will enjoy this part of the city.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

4. Rock And Roll Hall of Fame
Back in the ‘50s Cleveland became the birthplace of rock and roll and they’ve been rocking it out ever since. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a short walk from the Amtrak station and is full of history, memorabilia and awesomeness.  When you step in you’ll see it’s more than just music, it’s an experience.

5. West Side Market
Fresh meat, veggies and tons of culture, no wonder the West Side Market has been going strong since the 1800s. Featured on the Food Network and the Travel Channel, the market is perfect for the foodie tourist looking for regional eats or delectable treats.

See, told you Cleveland had more to offer than just a pretty view of Lake Erie. Are you ready to plan your trip? Because we’re ready to take you there. All together now, O-H…I-O!
