Photo of the Week

@kellischmitz

This week’s edition of Photo of the Week is brought to you by Kelli who traveled on our Empire Builder, which runs between Seattle and Chicago, with the cutest tour guide we’ve ever seen. Who needs a GPS when you have her!?

Despite her picture’s cuteness, Kelli faced steep competition from a pretty cool pic from our Pacific Surfliner in California. But in the end our fans & followers chose the tiny traveler on the Empire Builder as the winner!

Interested in exploring the great West by train, but don’t have your own adorable tour guide and map reader to bring along with you? No problem.

During the spring and summer months, National Park Service guides are onboard the Empire Builder between Seattle and Shelby, Mont., from the Klondike Gold Rush National Historic Park. They share interesting facts about the scenery you’re seeing through your window and help you appreciate the beauty and heritage of the American landscape.

If you’d like to submit your best Amtrak pics for our Photo of the Week contest,  tag your photo #Amtrak. Each Friday we’ll pick the best one from that week to feature here on our blog!
