Today is the first day cyclists in Michigan can bring their bikes on the Blue Water route (between Port Huron and Chicago via East Lansing and Kalamazoo), using the easy roll-on service.

“This is a huge day for bicycling and transportation as a whole in Michigan, and we’re excited Amtrak stepped up,” says John Lindenmayer, director of advocacy and policy for the League of Michigan Bicyclists.

Broncos and Spartans interested in bringing their bikes onboard have to pay just $10 extra to latch their equipment into the recently modified cafe cars along the route. Then just sit back and enjoy a different kind of ride!
