Amtrak’s Lake Shore Limited Train
With Amtrak, you can take the train along some of the nation’s prettiest shorelines! Like our Lake Shore Limited train! This route connects New York, Boston, Albany, and Chicago.
Starting in Chicago, take the train through South Bend, Indiana, to Cleveland, Ohio. While there, visit The Cleveland Museum of Art or the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. After taking in views of Lake Erie, Amtrak will take you through New York, where you’ll find yourself in Buffalo, Syracuse, and Albany.
From Albany, travel through the Berkshires and stop in Pittsfield, where you can tour the house where Herman Melville wrote Moby Dick. Continue to Boston, where you can make connections to Providence and Mystic Seaport on the Northeast Regional service.
In Albany, you’ll also be able to travel South through New York, to Penn Station in New York City. Amtrak’s busiest station will connect you to the largest city and cultural hub in the nation!
