Chicago swings into action all month long with events including a two-day Pride Fest starting on June 17 and the 52nd annual Chicago Pride Parade on June 25.
Arrive by train to the heart of Chicago at Union Station just 1.3 miles from Grant Park and save on the cost of tickets when you book in advance, and take part in the annual music festival Pride in the Park event.

Friday, June 2 - Sunday, June 18
At DC’s Capital Pride, swap out your red, white & blue for rainbow colors from June 2 for The Capitol Pride Honors and cap it all off with the Mr., Mx, & Miss Capital Pride Pageant on June 18.
You can purchase a ticket and save on the cost when you book in advance and take an Amtrak train into Washington Union Station, less than one mile from the Festival. Stop by the Amtrak booth at the Pride Festival on June 11 and ask about our Pride ERG.

In 2023, Amtrak received acknowledgement for its efforts to support the LGBTQ+ community by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. This recognition is the result of Amtrak's efforts to foster a diverse workplace where we strive to make all employees feel valued and included.
Amtrak received a score of 100 out of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2023 Corporate Equality Index (CEI); the nation’s foremost benchmarking survey and report measures corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality and inclusion.
The results of the 2023-2024 CEI recognizes and celebrates 1,384 companies that promote LGBTQ+-friendly workplace policies. In 2002, the first year of the CEI, only 13 companies achieved a top score, demonstrating the incredible 20-year impact the CEI has on the business world. This year’s CEI reflects growth across every measurement category.
Amtrak currently has several employee resource groups, including Express Pride for members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies.
