Atlanta and New Orleans are filled with plenty of good eats, fun stops, and good ‘ol southern hospitality. Take the Crescent to and from these southern gems for a guaranteed memorable #AmtrakAdventure!

Atlanta
Looking for some history? A stop at MLK National Historic Site, Centennial Olympic Park and Atlanta History Center is a great way to get your bearings. You’re going to want to fuel up at some local eateries before exploring, so check out Two Urban Licks for brunch goodies like house-made donuts with guava jam, The Varsity for a famous chili dog, or Fat Matt’s Rib Shack for melt-in-your-mouth ribs and savory rum BBQ beans. Everyone loves a good street car ride, so enjoy the Atlanta Street Car and head over to the Center for Human and Civil Rights, World of Coca Cola, the Georgia Aquarium and lastly the Atlanta Skyview for some sweet Ferris Wheel views of ATL. End the day with a cocktail at The Tavern at Phipps.

New Orleans
It’s a no-brainer that a stop in NOLA starts with an adult libation. Have a drink at the Sazerac Bar in the Roosevelt Hotel, then a spin at the Carousel Bar at The Hotel Montleone. Hungry already? Pizza Domenica is known for amazing slices and garlic knots, and Acme is a Bourbon Street staple for perfectly grilled oysters. Merchant is perfect for precisely pulled espresso and fresh crepes, but speaking of pastries, don’t forget the famous Cafe Du Monde beignets. Get your culture on with The Ogden Museum of Southern Art, The Contemporary Arts Center, and The National WWII Museum. A creepy yet cool stop is Lafayette Cemetery No. 1 which makes for a unique tourist experience. End the day with a flick at the gloriously old school Prytania Theater.
