Wi-Fi? Why Yes! Now Available to 90% of Amtrak Customers

We know you love to sit back, relax and enjoy the journey when you ride our trains. That is why we are now offering free Wi-Fi service on several eastern long-distance trains including the Auto Train, Cardinal, Crescent, Lake Shore Limited and Silver Service. 

With the latest service rollout, more than 90 percent of our customers have access to free onboard Wi-Fi. That means a whopping 28 million customers have access to Wi-Fi across the Amtrak national network!

If you’re new to the onboard Wi-Fi service, check out these tips for getting the most out of the technology. Tips include: Sign on from one device; download large files like movies before you board the train; and avoid streaming sites such as Pandora.com and YouTube.com, since the service does not support those experiences.
