Games & Trains Go Together and Here’s Why

If you’re an avid sports fan, then you know going to the game is an experience. Getting tickets, picking out your jersey and of course getting there, it’s all part of the lead up to the big game. We love taking you from the station to the stadium. But for those late adopters out there, we pulled together six reasons why an Amtrak ride to the game is the way to go.

  1. No Traffic
Big games means lots and lots of cars on the road and expensive stops at the pump. Sounds like the perfect reason to dump the pump, skip the traffic and take the train! Avoid the frustrations associated with driving and ride in comfort all the way to the stadium. Stretch out or walk around. Catch up on work or catch up with a friend, when you ride with us, train time is your time. Click To Tweet
  2. Nap Before the Game
There are very few times when it’s socially appropriate to be asleep in public. But lucky for you, in route to a game via Amtrak is one of them. So why not capitalize on it? Count some sheep and catch up on some z’s before getting hyped cheering on you team. Amtrak Tip: Try not to snore or drool. Camera phones are everywhere!
  3. Ample Time to Adjust Your Fantasy Teams
Fantasy football, basketball, baseball or really any of the fantasy sports are highly addictive. So we get it, you might need to finalize a trade or just talk some serious smack to your league. Guess what you can’t do if you drive to the game; all of that. With outlets at every seat and wifi on certain trains, we make it easy to plug up and make some moves before you arrive.
  4. Pre-Game (Responsibly)
It’s ok, we all know most fans enjoy an adult beverage before the game. And again, file this one under ‘no can do when driving’. After you board and get settled, mosey on over to our café car and grab a brew. Our trains offer lots of options for you and your buddies to unwind with one (or two) responsibly.
  5. Fellow Fandom
Speaking of buddies…When you train to the game not only can you hang out with the buddies you do know, you often meet fellow fans headed to the game. Be prepared, impromptu fight song sing-a-longs may occur. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!
  6. Nap Time After the Game
No explanation needed here. Just more socially appropriate sleeping in public.
