Earlier this spring, award-winning author, journalist, and Distinguished Writer in Residence at New York University’s journalism institute, Farai Chideya embarked on a cross-country train trip. As part of the inaugural Amtrak Residency program, Farai swapped out her stationary office for scenic views, a mobile work space and the one of a kind experience of writing on a long-distance train.
