Northeast Corridor Website Now Live

Today, we debuted the Northeast Corridor website, a site focused on providing information about the critical infrastructure projects along the Northeast Corridor (NEC).

If you are a frequent Amtrak blog reader or one of the 40,000 daily Amtrak riders that travel along the NEC, you know more investment is needed to meet the growing passenger demand in the region.

While we’ve highlighted some projects currently underway in the corridor, the new site provides riders and infrastructure enthusiasts with even more detailed project and plan information, including inforgraphics, maps and other helpful resources.

Featured projects on the site include: The Gateway Program to expand rail capacity in New York City, the New Jersey Portal Bridge replacement project, the Baltimore & Potomac Tunnel in Maryland as well as other key NEC initiatives advanced by Amtrak and our federal, state and local partners.

For more information about our current and future infrastructure impact in along the NEC, head to our new NEC site.
