Five 'Trainable' Bowl Games

47893721December is here and winter is on its way. Which means…holiday shopping, snow ball fights and BOWL GAMES! We’ve been quite vocal about our love for taking you to the game. Remember this and this? Well, just in case you’re new to our blog, here are five bowl games we can take you to.

Atlanta: Ole Miss vs. TCU
Get ready for a fast paced game at the Georgia Dome when University of Mississippi takes on Texas Christian University on New Year’s Eve in Atlanta. Both teams had a great season but just missed a ticket to the first college football playoff. But don’t worry fans, a train ride, some tailgating and a great game will make it all better.
Route: Crescent

Miami:  Mississippi State vs. Georgia Tech
Cow bell-carrying Mississippi State University plays the ramblin’ wrecks from Georgia Tech in sunny Miami on December 31 for this bowl game.  Both teams had big showings this year and while they aren’t headed to Texas for the final game, Miami is a pretty good place to ring in the New Year. Don’t you think?
Route: Silver Service/Palmetto

San Diego: USC vs. Nebraska
This unique match up pins the Trojans of the University of Southern California against the Cornhuskers of University of Nebraska in sunny San Diego. On the fence about this game? Two words to help with that: SoCal winters. They never disappoint. Here’s an extra Amtrak tip, you can take a trolley from the station to the game if you get your ticket after you get off the train.
Route: Pacific Surfliner

New Orleans: Bama vs. OSU
Number one takes on Number four in the first ever college football playoff. That right there is reason enough for you to book your train ticket to New Orleans. University of Alabama fans travel well but so do the Ohio State University Buckeyes. Come be a part of history when  you scream Roll Tide or O-H-I-O, all the way to NOLA.
Routes: Crescent, City of New Orleans or Sunset Limited

Santa Clara: Maryland vs. Stanford
One might argue this game is more of a Stanford University home game than a bowl game, and that person might be correct. But whether you’re a University of Maryland Terrapin or a Stanford Tree one thing’s for sure — a train ride is the best way to get this bowl game.  Skip the parking , skip the traffic, and hop on the train!
Route: Capitol Corridor
