Exhibit Train's First Stop, Chandler, Ariz.

The Amtrak Exhibit Train is headed west.

The wait is over! The Amtrak Exhibit Train will make 18 stops across America in 2014 kicking off on March 1-2 in Chandler, Arizona. The traveling exhibit allows visitors to take a complimentary, self-guided tour to learn about Amtrak history, our operations and future through the display of artifacts, memorabilia and interactive exhibits.

In celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Arizona Railway Museum, the Exhibit Train will be on site for rail fans to tour and explore Amtrak’s over forty year history and memorabilia.

“Our 30th Anniversary celebration is the perfect opportunity to celebrate our history with Amtrak through the Exhibit Train,” said Bart Barton, Vice President of Operations, Arizona Railway Museum. “The founding and growth of Chandler are tied directly to the railroad coming to town in 1911. The opportunity to see some of the original items from the start-up will bring back fond memories.”

Train fans living near Chandler can see the Exhibit Train in person on Saturday, March 1 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Sunday, March 2 from 12:00 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Arizona Railway Museum.
