Welcome to Our New Design!

It’s a New Year, and a new Amtrak Blog! All your favorite elements are improving and we got rid of what you didn’t like. Here’s what you can experience on our new completely redesigned site!

More Photos
You come to our blog for info. Whether you’re planning a weekend getaway or a cross country family vacation, you have real questions about what happens when you ride our trains. We’ve got answers (and photos and videos to boot!). Our new slideshow feature allows you to quickly reference pictures of the insides of our sleeper cars, dining cars and even maintenance facilities.

Easier Navigation
Our newly designed homepage lets you easily scroll through a variety of stories. And our new marque at the top of the website shows you the most important stories right when you land on the page. The best part of our redesign? You can now easily read all your Amtrak news straight from any mobile device!

Stories Custom to Your Interests
We know our customers are busy, so we made finding your favorite stories easier. When you choose to read a story on the blog, we’ll serve up related stories at the bottom of the page. That means you can quickly find the stories that you’re most interested in.

Buy Tickets
One of our favorite elements is the easy booking tool. Next time you read a blog post that inspires you to get on one of our trains, you can book your ticket straight from the blog. Warning: this, this and this post might have that effect.

Sign Up for Savings
Our job is to provide you with reliable information about train travel. That includes just exactly how to get the best priced tickets! Our “Subscribe & Save” feature on the homepage lets you quickly drop in your email address and get all of our latest fare sales and savings opportunities straight to your inbox. Easy, right?

Don’t just take our word on the new improvements. Go check them out yourself! And let us know what you think in the comments section below.

I so love change.  Makes things so new and fresh.   This is the Oakland Bay Bridge on our way back home waiting for the Amtrak Bus to take us to Emeryville.

@RAAndre Scroll to the top right. When you click on the magnifying glass icon a search field will pop up. Hope that helps!
