Amtrak Apps at Your Service
We know our customers love our Amtrak apps, more than 3.5 million downloads worth, that’s why we are always looking for ways to improve them.
The iPhone® and Android(TM) apps are now updated to improve the customer experience and with the recent release of the Amtrak Windows Phone® app we now have Amtrak apps available on all three mobile platforms.
“We keep our passengers on the move, and our mobile apps allow them to book, ticket, change and monitor travel while they are on the go,” says Amtrak Chief Marketing and Sales Officer Matt Hardison. “We understand the importance of mobility and convenience to our customers, and are committed to continually improve and expand our digital resources.”
If you aren’t one of the millions of passengers already using the mobile apps, here is a quick rundown of what you can expect from the Amtrak mobile app:
Purchase Tickets: You can book your ticket on the go from the app and update it when plans change
Train Status: Quickly check to make sure your train is running on time or if you have the opportunity to catch an earlier train
Display Your eTicket: You can show your eTicket to the conductor directly from the app
Station Information: The address, hours and services offered at a particular station along with directions to the nearest Amtrak station
