Working on the Railroad

Dino in ChicagoMore than 20,000 Amtrak employees make up America’s Railroad. From the far corners of the country, they’re dedicated to an operation that runs 24 hours, 365 days a year. Locomotive engineer Dino, who has worked for the company since 1986, is one of them. He’s based in Chicago, where the majority of the company’s long-distance trains, including the Southwest Chief, City of New Orleans and Texas Eagle, originate.
