A Travelin' Soldier

Amtrak, America’s Railroad, is proud to have service members among its employees and its customers. This Marine Private First Class Jesus A. is a frequent train traveler. Waiting on the Crescent train in Mississippi after completing training, he says, “After this, I’m off to wherever they send me.”

 

Amtrak challenged Brandon Stanton, the photographer behind Humans of New York, to leave New York and capture #AmtrakStories from across the country. For 31 days, we’ll share one new portrait and story each day on our blog in celebration of the customers who ride America’s Railroad.
