Welcoming You with Open Arms

The Hassan family, originally from Baghdad, is traveling from Chicago to Buffalo, N.Y. They join Amtrak passengers from the far corners of the world and the opposite end of Main Street, who travel to our more than 500 destinations each year.

 

Amtrak challenged Brandon Stanton, the photographer behind Humans of New York, to leave New York and capture #AmtrakStories from across the country. For 31 days, we’ll share one new portrait and story each day on our blog in celebration of the customers who ride America’s Railroad.
