Only 500 points? Make it worth actually paying for the bandwidth it takes to deliver the ad! Otherwise, say hello to Adblock Plus!
Check Out Our Blog Improvements
We've made some big improvements to our blog that we want you to know about. Here are the best ones!
1. Chance to Earn 500 AGR Points
Amtrak Guest Rewards (AGR) is our awesome loyalty program that let's you earn points toward free travel (and much more!) when you ride our trains. Blog readers who sign up for AGR will get 500 bonus points! Just click on one of our ads. It's simple, we promise!
2. Easy to Read Articles
We know that blogs are only entertaining if they are easy to read. So we've added tons of stories to our homepage, bumped the comments to the bottom of the stories themselves and even adjusted the article size for easier reading.
3. Simple to Book Tickets
The best new feature is our booking tool. Next time you read a blog post that inspires you to get on one of our trains, you can book your ticket straight from the blog. Warning: this, this and this post might have that effect.
We're constantly looking to make the blog better for you. Let us know what you think of the improvements and as always, please let us know how we can keep getting better!
It reads that way? I didn't think so. If you already a member, why would you want a second account.
All points take time to post, and 500 will not buy you anything anyway.
Just signed up for AGR. When do the points get rewarded? Right now I'm looking at a big fat ZERO in my acct. That's after looking at ads.
It would be nice if you said that the 500 points were only for NEW AGR members. Not existing members. The way this article is written, makes it look as though any person who clicks on the ads gets an extra 500 points. Prob should change that to make it clear. Otherwise it is misleading.
Just can't wait for our trip on the Crescent to NOL for our cruise. No airport parking fees, no security and roomie seats! Would love to buy a roomette, but I was told we couldn't as we are traveling one full fare and one companion ticket. Wouldn't that just be more money for you guys?
It looks great - and more train cos could take note! But it would look better if you replied to your readers' comments, even when some are a bit off-topic! ;)
To Amtrak Mgmt, you certainly need to consider placing more Amtrak stops to and from Springfield between Joliet station and Chgo Union station or at least operate in sync with Metra. A passenger living near Naperville shouldn't have to travel out to Joliet to catch an Amtrak train to Springfield; If one chooses to catch the Metra train in Naperville or Lisle, one has to change at Union station and wait for hrs before the next Amtrak train. You also need to make sure your Amtrak station washrooms are more accessible at all times for traveling passengers. When your ticket agents leave off duty at a certain time, then later passengers can't get washrm tokens. That's not fair! Such tokens or passcodes should be dispensed with any ticket purchases OR You need a washroom attendant on duty as long as trains are running.
Why doesn't Amtrak stop in Naperville when headed toward Springfield?
@JoaoPauloLourencSorry for the inconvenience. If you think your point balance is incorrect, please call 1-800-307-5000.
