Photo of the Week

This edition of Photo of the Week is brought to you by Alex who is fresh-faced and ready to embark on a cross-country tour of the U.S. on our California Zephyr which runs between the Bay Area and Chicago.

The California Zephyr is one of Amtrak’s long-distance trains. It travels across the plains of Nebraska, across the Rockies and even through the desert of Salt Lake City.

What’s even cooler is that it has a special onboard Trails & Rails program between Denver and Grand Junction, Colo. That’s a partnership we have with the National Park Service where volunteers educate passengers of the wildlife surrounding their route as they travel through the country.

For all of you less adventurous types, you’re in luck! Alex will by blogging throughout the trip on his website, keeping fans & followers updated throughout his trip.
