This edition of Photo of the Week is brought to you by Julianna or should we say a Sweet Carolina Girl!

Here, the Piedmont train pulls into High Point, NC, smack dab in the middle of Tobacco Road for all you sports fans out there. That’s right, this route, which runs between Raleigh and Charlotte might as well be the ACC train. It serves NC State University (wolfpack!!), University of North Carolina (GTHD!), and Duke University (blue devils!).

We suggest riding during basketball season …

North Carolina is also served by long-distance trains. In fact, the Silver Service, which runs daily among 11 states, connects the state to both New York City and Miami.

For shorter trips, there’s also the Carolinian, which gets passengers in its namesake state to the Big Apple.
